Rambling
The Pyrenees is a great place for ramblers of all levels, marked
by the famous GR10 and GR11 running from the Mediterranean to the
Atlantic. We have a great number of stunning walks to offer you;
take a prepared pack lunch for that full day out. |

Running
Your host John Boyes and his wife Kathryn are
both keen club runners and compete regularly in local events. They
can advise you of many routes from the house and further afield
in the mountains and forests. Special training weeks can be arranged
including training sessions at 5,000 feet plus from the ski station
at Nistos (20 miles from the house). There are races most weekends,
on the road and mountain trails. For the adventurous there are snowshoe
races in Winter. |

Cycling
Bring your bicycle and cycle from the house over many over famous
Tour de France climbs conquered by Lance Armstrong. From our house
people have cycled the Col D’Aspin, Col de Tourmalet, cycled
into Spain (22k) and climbed the Col de Portillon. Slightly further
are the Col d’Aubisque and Marie Blanc. Pick-ups can be arranged
for one way rides.
In Tour de France week you can see
at least 3 stages within an hour of the house. Take your mountain
bicycle to Bagnere
de Luchon and in July and August, take it up the cable car and
ride down the ski slopes. Hundreds of kilometres of mountain bike
trails on our doorstep. Bicycles are readily available for hire. |
